Canada is not widely recognized for cerussite specimens, but this thumbnail example originates from the historic Society Girl Mine, a small lead-zinc deposit worked in the early 1900s. The piece consists many small cerussite crystals scattered in a shallow pocket, collected from the waste rock dumps of this long-closed mine. Such specimens are uncommon, this one is an older matrix example representative of the locality.
