Cerussite is one of the hallmark species from Tsumeb, famed for producing some of the finest examples of this lead carbonate. This specimen showcases a sharp, well-formed, cyclically twinned crystal with a gemmy, soft champagne hue and the iconic reticulated or "snowflake" habit, accented by a minor amount of attached matrix. Remarkably preserved for its age, the piece features sharply defined edges and excellent terminations, with only minimal roughness and slight bruising that do not detract from its overall elegance. Tsumeb remains unparalleled in producing cerussites of exceptional quality.
