This specimen features a spray of maroon to peach coloured radial celestine crystals, accompanied by some white quartz prisms and are on a bed of quartz druze. It's a very uncommon colour and habit for celestine. This specimen originates from the Francon Quarry, located in the central part of the City of Montreal. The quarry, known for its alkalic intrusive sill in limestone, ceased operations in 1981 and will never reopen. This makes specimens from this location particularly rare and valuable to collectors.
