An attractive floater pseudomorph from the famous Camp Verde district of Arizona, where colourless calcite has completely replaced earlier glauberite crystals while faithfully preserving their original crystal form. The specimen is fully crystallized on all sides and displays the characteristic bladed, wedge-shaped habit of glauberite, now coated with a sparkling druse of colourless calcite crystals that give the piece a bright, frosted appearance. Measuring 5.8 cm across, this is a fine specimen and an excellent example of mineral replacement.

Named after the German chemist Johann Rudolf Glauber, glauberite is a sulphate mineral that typically forms in evaporite deposits within arid environments. The Camp Verde deposits are renowned for producing some of the world's finest pseudomorphs after glauberite, where calcite has replaced the original crystals with remarkable fidelity. These specimens beautifully illustrate the process of mineral replacement and have long been prized by collectors of pseudomorphs and classic Arizona minerals.
