Canada
Dimensions: 7.4x4.0x1.6 cm

This specimen features sharp scalenohedral calcite crystals on a fluorite matrix, accompanied by yellow quartz, sharp, darkened chalcopyrite crystals, and minor pyrite. It originates from the AGS Fluorite Deposit in Newfoundland, discovered during a 2013 diamond drilling program. The deposit is hosted in meta-sediments intruded by rhyolite sills and dykes. Acquired from a former AGS mine manager, this specimen is notable for the locality and fluoresces exceptionally well under UV light. The site is currently closed, with no known plans for reopening.
