This specimen features a drusy of calcite rhombs with a dozen or so balls of dresserite scattered here-and-there on the surface and a few weloganite crystals. The calcite fluoresces a light pink under UV light. Collected by Dr. Tarassoff in 1981, this specimen originates from the Francon Quarry, located in the central part of the City of Montreal. The quarry, known for its alkalic intrusive sill in limestone, ceased operations in 1981 and will never reopen, making specimens from this location particularly rare and valuable to collectors.
