Calcite, Dolomite

Here's a charming, small, but very interesting combo specimen of pale yellow calcite, with a bit of grey dolomite, and a light sprinkling of marcasite. The calcite consists of an earlier pointed growth with a clear calcite growing over top of it. Sweet!

The quarry is part of the Beekmantown Formation that shows up at several locations, From Saratoga Springs NY, through Herkimer NY, St-Clothilde Quebec, St-Eustache Quebec to Greely Ontario.
