This specimen features an intergrowth of bismuthanite and joseite from Glacier Gulch near Smithers, British Columbia, a locality known for yielding rare bismuth-bearing minerals. Silvery-grey metallic laths and veinlets of bismuthanite are intergrown with fine-grained joseite, creating a complex, high-metallic luster surface. The two bismuth sulfosalts are subtle but visible under magnification, with the joseite showing a slightly more granular texture. Specimens from Glacier Gulch are uncommon, and this piece is a fine representative of the locality's distinctive sulfosalt mineralization. A must-have for collectors of Canadian or rare bismuth minerals.
