Sparkling khaki brown baryte rosettes adorn the front of this specimen, which has a matrix composed of lighter brown baryte. The back side reveals the yellow cleavage of sulfite crystals. The mine was discovered in 1953 and mined for sulfur until the late 20th century. In 1994, it was transformed into a recreational lake, but not opened to the public until 2010.
