This specimen features a richly mineralized, vuggy limonite matrix adorned with sparkling, bright electric-blue azurite crystals, interspersed with patches of vibrant green malachite and traces of chrysocolla. There also appears to be minor cerussite present, along with an unidentified black botryoidal mineralization.
Sourced from a classic locality, this fine miniature to small cabinet-sized piece exemplifies the diverse mineral assemblage associated with this once-prolific lead, zinc, and copper mine, which ceased operations in 1982. Most crystallized specimens from the mine were historically processed in smelters, making well-preserved examples like this increasingly rare and highly desirable for collectors.
