Azurite, Malachite

This specimen features a striking aggregate of radiating, deep blue bladed azurite crystals accompanied by green malachite. The azurite is easily recognizable for its vivid colour with the crystals exhibiting a glistening effect when rotated under light. Hailing from the renowned Touissit Mine in Morocco—one of the world’s most famous localities for azurite—this piece is a vintage treasure from the mine’s peak production period in the 1970s to 1980s. A beautiful and classic example, it would make a fine addition to any azurite suite or Moroccan mineral collection.
