From the world-famous Tsumeb Mine, Namibia, this specimen features a sparkling coverage of numerous small, deep-blue Azurite crystals perched atop a contrasting brown limonite matrix. Associated patches of a bright green secondary mineral, possibly Bayldonite, can also be seen, although this association has not been analytically confirmed. Tsumeb is celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest and most diverse mineral specimens. With its rich colour palette, fine Azurite crystallization, and potential association with one of Tsumeb’s rarer copper–lead arsenates, this specimen is not only attractive but also a testament to the mine’s remarkable mineralogical diversity.
