The Grey Cloud Claim has produced some sparkling, lustrous, translucent crystals of Axinite-(Fe), making this a notable locality for the species. This specimen features glassy, crystals on a bit of matrix. While there is slight damage, the piece remains in good overall condition. These crystals were formed in cavities within a fault zone at the edge of a granitic intrusion. The locality is a very remote location accessible only by helicopter.
