This miniature specimen features a vibrant druse of lemon-yellow micro autunite crystals richly covering the granite matrix. Although Autun is not the type locality for autunite, it is located very close to it at Saint-Symphorien-de-Marmagne, France, where the mineral was first described in 1852. The crystals exhibit an intense, electric-green fluorescence under UV light.
*International customers: This specimen is radioactive. Please be sure your country will accept hot rocks prior to ordering. Feel free to contact me ahead of time with specific instructions or questions / concerns regarding shipping arrangements.
