A fine miniature specimen featuring a pair of well-formed augite crystal prisms, mounted on an acrylic base for display. The crystals are greenish-black in colour with a subtle vitreous lustre and sharp, well-defined terminations, showing excellent crystal form for the species.
This material originates from a little-known skarn zone near the town of Paugan Falls, Québec, a site that is not yet listed on Mindat and remains largely undocumented in the mineralogical record. Collected in the fall of 2025.
