This small perky box box contains two specimens featuring sprays of antlerite on quartz matrix—an uncommon occurrence from the historic Society Girl Mine. Collected from the waste dumps of this long-closed and heavily worked site, these samples represent a rare appearance of this species at the locality.
While the Society Girl Mine is best known as one of the finest sources of pyromorphite in Canada, it also produced other secondary minerals such as cerussite and, more rarely, antlerite. Specimens like these are infrequently encountered and would make a valuable addition to any British Columbian or broader Canadian mineral suite.
