This attractive miniature specimen features many vibrant lime-green andradite garnet crystals lining on the inside of a shallow vug in host matrix, from the classic Mine Lac d'Amiante (LAB Mine) locality in Quebec. The garnets are well-formed, showing sharp dodecahedral to slightly modified trapezohedral faces with excellent lustre. Their bright, translucent green colour is characteristic of the finest andradites from this large asbestos deposit, which has produced a variety of collectible skarn minerals. A colourful and well-balanced piece, it represents one of the more desirable garnet habits and hues from this prolific Quebec locality.
