A superb textbook example of a tetragonal dipyramidal anatase crystal from a renowned Norwegian locality. The doubly-terminated crystal features a mix of lustrous and slightly etched faces. This specimen originates from Hardangervidda, a vast mountain plateau spanning three counties: Hordaland, Telemark, and Buskerud. Much of the area lies within the Hardangervidda National Park, where mineral collecting and removal are strictly prohibited. Notably, some of the finest anatase and quartz localities are situated within this protected zone, making specimens from historical collections particularly prized.
