Analcime

An exceptionally clear and gemmy cluster of sharp, trapezohedral analcime crystals are nestled safely in a vug in matrix. The Bay of Fundy is renowned for its wonderful zeolites, including chabazite, gmelinite, analcime, natrolite, and thomsonite, some of which remain rare finds even in the colossal Deccan basalts of India. Nova Scotia's enduring significance in zeolite mineralogy is underscored by the continual exposure of new material due to the world's highest tides, ensuring its continued status as a top-tier zeolite locality.
