Amethyst

This palm-sized specimen showcases an unusual combination of calcite and marcasite on amethyst from the famous Thunder Bay area, renowned for producing some of Canada's most attractive quartz specimens. Two main amethyst crystal points dominate the top of the specimen with the surface covered in an initial growth of grey marcasite followed by a secondary growth of milky-white calcite. Looks great under the microscope as well as in a display cabinet.
